Gail Logemann has been working with kp counseling since 2002, providing support in areas like remarriage and step-family issues, individual and couples therapy, relationship coaching, and women’s issues. A Rockford native, Gail has a master’s degree in Applied Family and Child Studies, with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is licensed by the state of Illinois in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a certified Equine Assisted Psychotherapist (EAP).
In addition to her training and certification in EAP, Gail has had 8 hours of Co-Parenting Training for court-ordered P.A.C.T. for divorcing parents, 40 hours of training for School Crisis Assistance Team, has specialized training in suicide prevention, and has attended numerous seminars and workshops in areas of her clinical interest. Prior to joining kp counseling, she was a Wisconsin state certified police officer and EMT and a volunteer firefighter. She had a small private therapy practice in Sycamore and worked as a counselor in the CHANCE Program at NIU. She also taught undergraduate courses for the Department of Family, Consumer and Nutrition Sciences at NIU for three years.
Gail is a member of River Valley Community Church, where she volunteers on the Cafe Team. She has served in the singles community in the greater Rockford area and was a “Big Sister” for several years. She is currently an Advisory Board Member for Rockford Women Magazine.
In addition to her passion for family and marriage counseling, Gail enjoys fishing, beading, cooking, reading, canoeing and campfires. She currently resides in Rockford and has an adult son living in the Madison, Wisconsin area.
