Licensed Professional Counselor | LPC
My name is Adrianne Robertson and I have been in the Rockford area for 3 years. Upon graduating from Wilmington College of Ohio with a BA in psychology I moved to Illinois where I began my work working in a residential facility with kids who were in the care of DCFS. In 2008 I started as a mental health counselor at Alexian Brother’s behavioral Health Hospital and worked there while obtaining my Master’s in counseling from DePaul University. While at Alexian I gained knowledge and experience in eating disorders, self-injury, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, and how to deal with difficult behaviors. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a school counselor in a high school. My diverse background has allowed me to work with many different types of young people who are struggling in different areas of their lives. I believe that counseling is an amazing way for one to express themselves openly and honestly while collaborating with a professional to help them along the way.
When not being an agent of change for my students and clients I coach track, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy traveling.
